Well, incase you havent heard yet, im still in lovely warm Honduras.  I've heard that its really cold in New Zealand.
The reason I stayed in Honduras is because i just couldnt get on the plane!  I was scared to see Caroline because I thought she might be angry with me because i learnt how to say Crazy Caroline in Spanish.  So i was scared to go back to New Zealand and face her.  But, i also wanted to stay in Honduras because these kids here need me more than you, my friends, in New Zealand.
I am enjoying my time with my new friends in Honduras.  I do miss you guys, but i am needed here more.
I might find my way back to New Zealand in a years time, but i really dont know.  I might decide that I want to keep living here... we will see.
In the meantime, i would love to hear what you have all been up to in New Zealand.  Write me a message using the Ask Oscar page.

We are laying low for a while, studying Spanish.  We are having a good time here.  The weather is still really hot.  We eat lots of Mangos.  We are really enjoying living with the family here.  School is going well.  Its very difficult but its good to study hard!

Oscar and Robert]]> Robert Kern Fri, 06 Apr 2007 14:15:07 +1200 http://www.letsaskoscar.com/articles/oscar_in_honduras/we_made_it_to_honduras http://www.letsaskoscar.com/articles/oscar_in_honduras/oscar_is_going_to_honduras Oscar here.  I have just finished packing for my trip to Honduras.  I will be driving to the airport with Robert in a couple of hours.  Im getting very excited about the trip!  But its a long one.  It takes about 12 hours to fly from Auckland to Los Angeles in the USA.  Then when I get to Los Angeles, I have to wait for 13 hours before my next flight which takes me to Miami (it takes about 5 hours to get to Miami).  Then I wait about 5 hours in Miami and then fly to Honduras (this last flight is about 2 or 3 hours).  I should get some sleep on the flight from Auckland to L.A. but there are so many good movies on that I want to stay up and watch them all! 
The place I am going to is called Ixbalanque Spanish School (click here to see their website).  I will be staying with a family there (I dont know who yet).  From Monday to Friday's I will be going to Spanish classes for about 4 hours each day.  I dont really know what I will do with the rest of the time yet.  Im sure I could be very busy if I wanted to be.... we will see.
Robert couldnt afford to buy an extra plane ticket for me so he said he's going to stuff me in his luggage.  Im a little nervous about that because he has his smelly shoes in there.

I would love it if you sent me some questions and stories.  I will try and write to you as often as I can.  Keep me up-to-date with what is happening in Childrens Church.
